The new film by Oliver Stone, about the former President George W. Bush Junior, which is said to be quite controversial. I had no idea what to expect from this film. I did not know (and did not want to know), if I had to look forward to a boring life biography, a biographical account about his terms as president, if it was pro-Bush so he could redeem himself or ...

As the first ten minutes were over, I thought it would be a boring biography about W. After the next 10 minutes, I had a big question mark on my head, and further along the film, I didn't know whether the film was meant to be an entire satire.

The film starts out with the discussion of “the axis of evil” (or what other term would fit to justify starting a war), which already sets the tone (which I decided for myself to be satirical) for the film with flashbacks of W. starting in College. The flashbacks were all about W.'s failures and drinking and being, in the end, reborn a Christian in Texas, who was chosen by God to lead the country, while he was fighting for his father's recognition and approval.

Very interesting scenes are the discussions about justifying the existence of WMDs in Iraq and the revelation that the U.S. did not find any by the time that they should have only to discover, that actually no one was in charge of finding a one per cent possibility of WMDs in Iraq.

And after this film, I wonder how he could become President of the United States. Maybe he was just the right puppet, that people around him could play with, tell him what to do and how to do it.

I had similar question mark on my head as well.
I thought the movie was made out of a comic book which came out a couple of years back in France. I think it was called the Axis of Evil or something....
Anyway, I found the movie to be really hilarious, and quite a bit exaggerating. Nevertheless, it was very well tuned.
